As we were overwhelmed by the view, a woman went
about her daily life getting water from the pond.
.... and the men did what they seem to do best in
Morocco, visiting over a cup of mint tea.
The sight of the village of Alt Benhaddou, across the
rain swollen river is just overwhelming. This village has been the site of many movies
which are set in the desert - I believe the last one was "Jewel of the Nile". How can you not be impressed?
Naturally, where there is an sight to be seen
tourist shops are open for business.
A close up view shows the artwork on the exterior of the buildings.
The perfect location for a group photo.
And the visit would not be complete without mint tea.
The Atlas Mountains are covered in rain clouds
as we drive toward the pass.
Sometimes walking is the only mode of transportation.
We stop for lunch at Tichka Pass, 6,200 meters (7000 feet)
The crow doesn't fly up here. It is a long
and winding road that takes us down the mountain.
These homes seem to be "glued to the side of the mountain."
